Barcelona contract their first Hearthstone pro

On 6th May Futbol Club Barcelona announced the expansion of its Esport section to Hearthstone. French player Martin "Zhym" Prete , one of the new 2020 Grandmasters, is a true Hearthstone bridgehead in the world of football export.

That football teams are investing in pro gaming is nothing new, even in Italy we have many examples: Inter , Juventus or Sampdoria just to name a few. At the moment, however, most of the attention falls on games such as FIFA, PES or League of Legends, finding Hearthstone players is practically unheard of. However, the move of one of the most important clubs in the world could change the situation.

Zhym is very young, just 20 years old, but in 2019 he managed to conquer the spot in the largest Hearthstone Major League thanks to his performances at the Masters Tours in Seoul and Los Angeles . We will be able to see him for the first time with the Barcelona shirt from Friday 8 , in the next games of the Hearthstone Grandmasters.
